Experience Australia - the Country That Has it All!

For many, Australia as a country, really does have it all. Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. Believe it or not, it's about the same size as the 48 mainland states of the USA put together, or, to put it another way, 50 per cent larger than the whole of Europe!

The climate in Australia is amazing, imagine spending Christmas at the beach or skiing in August? This may seem strange but Australia's seasons are the opposite of the northern hemisphere - summer officially starts in December and winter in June.

Top visitor attractions include the world famous Cable Beach (Australia boasts over 7,000 beaches - more than any other nation), instantly recognisable landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, the Great Barrier Reef and its islands, the world's oldest rain-forests in Tropical North Queensland, rugged mountain ranges and even vast tracts of desert. Australia's large cosmopolitan cities of Melbourne and Sydney are packed with cultural and scenic attractions from art museums to live music, restaurants, cafes, fantastic shops and Boutiques, historical buildings and sporting events. Adventure by day and enjoy the pulsing clubs and pubs of inner-city Melbourne or Sydney by night!

Main tourist highlights:

Melbourne is cosmopolitan yet suburban city, with Fantastic shopping, fine dining, nightlife and sporting events. Explore the city on foot and walk through Melbourne's Golden Mile taking in the sights of the Parliament house and Melbourne Town hall, or take a picnic and enjoy the Royal Botanical Gardens or one of the many green parks in the city. And if you are feeling less energetic on your Australia Holiday then take it easy on an excursion to Philip Island.

Sydney is Australia's most spectacular cosmopolitan City. The city that has round the clock entertainment. View the breathtaking scenery from the spectacular Bridge climb over the Harbour Bridge. Sydney is array with Museums, wonderful architecture, elegant boutiques, funky shops, world- class restaurants Bars and stylish cafes. Sydney's sparkling harbour is thought by many to be the jewel in the city's crown. Relax on your Australia holiday at one of the many golden beaches and glare at the many surfers or participate in one of the many water sports on offer. When it comes to dining, Sydney's restaurants cater for all sorts of tastes from Greek and Lebanese to Japanese and Indian.

Canberra, Australia's Capital is known as Bush Capital due to the nearby Canberra Nature Park and Namadgi National Park. As the capital of Australia, Canberra is justifiably home to some of the nation's most impressive attractions. Canberra's Territory is mainly parkland or bush-land. As well as the natural surroundings of Canberra, there are many museums, shops and restaurants to keep you entertained on your Australia Holiday. Sightseeing can be done through organised tours, or hire a car and explore Canberra yourself. Canberra's art showpiece is the National Gallery of Australia.

Brisbane is Australia's third largest city and the state capital of Queensland. Brisbane is a well-developed lively, cosmopolitan city with several interesting districts, a good street cafe scene, a great riverside park, a busy cultural calendar and decent nightlife. The City Botanic Gardens are a popular attraction on your Australia Holiday The Gardens features palm trees, a mangrove walk, Moreton Bay Figs, rain-forest glade and exotic plants. Brisbane's renowned Moreton Bay offers plenty of water activities. Charter a boat and discover reefs edging the dozens of islands, or even catch your own dinner. Moreton Bay's protected waters are actually home to 155 islands, and each one offers different holiday opportunities.

Perth, the capital of Western Australia, is a vibrant and modern city array with Souvenir shops, theatres, museums and some of the finest beaches in Australia that offer a multitude of water activities such as Jet Skiing, and river Cruises. The Port town of Fremantle is a popular spot on your Australia Holiday with many restaurants, markets and cafes. The rolling hills and valleys of Native bush land are great for walking through. Western Australia's oldest wine growing region, the Swan Valley is also now a bustling tourist area.

The Centre of Adelaide is surrounded by green parks, and located not to far away is the Zoological Park. There are also many museums to visit while in Adelaide on your Australia Holiday including the South Australian Museum and the Tate museum. The Adelaide Festival of Arts and the Fringe Festival are incredibly popular with locals and visitors alike and generate a constant energy in the city.

The only possible downside to the Australia experience is actually getting there! A flight from Europe will take around 22 hours, with a cheap flight costing in the region of 600, however it is a truly breathtaking experience not to be missed, after you return home the long flight will soon be forgotten, but the holiday memories will stay with you forever!
